My whisky nosing and tastings are not from a genuine/regular teachbook or straigth from the internet. I‘m proud to write that over 25 years of experience gave me the knowledge, the enthusiasm and the ability to teach and entertain the people who are visiting my tastings.
During my tastings there will be a logical order of the whisky’s to taste. From a easy to drink allrounder to the Islay malts at the end of each tasting.
There will always be a Speyside whisky and an woodfinish (sherry, port, sauternes) from either where. Further I regular use whiskies from Ireland and bourbons from Kentucky. I have several different tastings to present, from whiskies from the world (Japan, Taiwan, India) to only Speyside or heavy cask strengths. Even Dutch or German or Australian or Danish whiskies are in my tastings.
Because I’m independant, which means that I am not bound to a specific Brand, I can use all the whisky in the world and therefore I never use the same whiskies when I come for a second or third or fourth tasting for the same group.
I do my tastings in four languages, Dutch obviously, and German and English and in the dialect from the eastern part of the Netherlands and the western and northern parts of Germany.
